Yanmar to Open Anniversary Museum and Training Center

On the occasion of its centennial in 2012, Yanmar has announced it will open a museum and training center for the education of Group employees, in Japan, Nagahama city, the birthplace of its founder, Magokichi Yamaoka.

The museum will highlight the contribution Yanmar has made over time to various industries as a leader and innovator in harnessing energy, and to the creation of an environmentally sustainable society. Along with the presentation of its multi-faceted solutions accumulated over a century as a world-class manufacturer, Yanmar will also make available engine training workshops for visitors. The museum employs an original design that allows its harmonious integration into the surrounding cityscape and aims to become a local landmark enjoyed by visitors and residents alike.
The training center to be established in its vicinity is intended to function as a hub for the education of Yanmar employees Group-wide and the development of capable human resources ready to take the world stage, with hands on practice in our brand concept of "Solutioneering Together".
Both facilities utilize own-manufactured air conditioning and micro cogeneration systems together with a large array of energy-saving appliances that excel in low environmental impact and economy.
